The following article provides instructions for extracting data from a business application called “Wholesale Distribution” which was originally developed by Jamison Computer Systems and modified to a new version called Jamison 2.0. The database layout of this software is similar to the original Jamison Software, but there are significant changes in the database structure that will require a handful of extracted reports from this software to get most of the pertinent data for conversion.
The following reports will need exported into an XLS spreadsheet format for the ManageMore conversion.
- Inventory Report (provides most inventory related information, except barcode info, quantity on hand, and categories)
- Inventory Item UPC Report (provides the product UPC, Retail Package Barcode, and Case Barcode)
- Inventory On Hand Report (provides the quantity on hand for each product)
- Inventory Sub-Category Price Class Report (provides an inventory category breakdown of the products)
- Customer Report (provides all Customer Information and the Last Balance)
- Vendor Report (provides all Vendor Information)
Use Google Sheets to import these spreadsheet files and resave them as a Tab-Delimited file format (TSV format).
Proceed with the Software Conversion Wizard and select each exported TSV file in the appropriate fields on the conversion wizard process.
