About Funds Transfer
The Funds Transfer screen is designed to assist users in moving monies from one bank account or cash drawer to another bank account or cash drawer without having to use a journal entry. When funds are transferred, the software will make the appropriate entries for you and thus simplify the process within your general ledger. This feature is useful for those companies with multiple bank accounts or when moving monies between drawers for various reasons.

Location
Displays the location affected by the funds transfer .
Transfer No.
Displays the internally-generated number assigned to this funds transfer document. This number cannot be changed.
Transfer Date
Displays the date the transfer was created.
Transfer From
Select whether to transfer monies from a bank account or cash drawer. Once selected, you can then select the bank account, or select or enter the ID number of the drawer to have monies transferred out of.
Transfer To
Select whether to transfer monies to a bank account or cash drawer. Once selected, you can then select the bank account, or select or enter the ID number of the drawer to have monies transferred into.
 | For example, if you want to move monies from an open cash drawer to a bank account labeled Safe (standing for your in house safe), you would select Cash Drawer for Transfer From, and enter the Cash Drawer ID. Then click on Bank Account in the Transfer To area, and select Safe from the Bank Account list. |
Transfer Amount
Enter the amount being transferred between the bank accounts.
Memo
Enter a note about the nature or reason behind the transaction here.
