About Securing Your Data
Your data is only as secure as the environment in which it is found. Most aspects of the software require the database files to be opened, modified, and deleted often. Therefore a user must have full control of the data files and the application files. But that would also give them the capability to potentially cause damage to your data as well, intentional or not. This is because computers come with tools (e.g. Windows Explorer) that allow the user to directly access data files.
Using the steps below, you can help to ensure that employees and other users will have the ability to freely use ManageMore , yet be unable to get into the software's data files directly through Windows Explorer.
