Point Of Sale |

In this Chapter
In this chapter, we will discuss the other manner in which sales can be handled by ManageMore:
The point of sale business model utilizes a different concept and design which differs from the Invoice window in several key areas:
• | POS mode remains on after each completed sale for continual operation |
• | Item details section can accommodate many more items on one screen |
• | Function keys can be used to access key areas of the POS (versus icons) |
• | Provides for a Void function directly in the same screen, instead of having to use a different menu option |
• | Item image can be displayed on screen during the POS transaction to aid employees |
• | Total amounts feature prominently on screen |
In short, the point of sale mode allows for many transactions to be done with few, if any mouse clicks. This allows for transactions to be completed more quickly, adding to a retail customer's satisfaction.
In addition, the program supports a wide array of sales automation equipment, such as bar code readers, cash drawers and pole displays. See the Setup Point Of Sale section for details.
