This section looks at the setup of the Rewards Program within ManageMore. ManageMore's Loyalty/Rewards Program can be used at the point of sale to quickly track customer buying habits and reward them for coming back and doing business with you.

 

By issuing customer loyalty cards, you will be able to analyze better your customer needs and at the same time provide them a system where they earn points and other bonuses while giving them a physical reminder of your business in their wallet.

A Detailed Look at Rewards Programs

 

Without customers, you won't have a business. It's much more difficult and costly to land a customer than it is to keep one, so how do you keep them coming back? That's where customer loyalty programs come in.  Using a Loyalty/Rewards program within a point of sale system has been proven to increase sales by over 20%.

 

However, before you begin to make a loyalty program, you will need to know what will bring your customers back to you. How? Just ask! Surveys can net very valuable information to help you think through what your program should include.  Once this done, you can then craft your loyalty program to one of three designs this software uses.  This can be done in one of three ways:

 

1) Reward the customer by giving them a discount on their next visit after they have either spent a particular amount or purchased a particular quantity of items.

2) Reward the customer by giving them bonus money to spend on their next visit after they have either spent a particular amount or purchased a particular quantity of items.

3) Reward the custoemr by offering various merchandise items for passing particular point levels.

Program Settings

 

Show Rewards Program Features

Check this box to view or modify the features of the rewards program.

 

[Class Code List]

Displays the listing of class code numbers, their names, and whether each one is active in the rewards program.  Select one then click on the Edit button below to view the specific settings for that class code.

 

Create Rewards Card Item

Click this button to create a specialized Supertrack Inventory item for a new reward card item.  One already comes by default within ManageMore, this button can be used to create others if you choose to do so.

Activate Customer Reward Program for this class code

Check this box to allow customers from this class code to participate in the Rewards Program.  This check box must be checked to modify settings in this window.

 

Customer reward points will be based on

Select how reward program points will be awarded to participating customers.  Select Item Quantity to award points based on the Rewards Points field in the Supertrack Inventory item records, or select Sales Subtotal to base the points on the amount spent by the customer.  Selecting Sales Subtotal will enable the Reward Calculation fields below.

 

Action to take with reward points

Select what should be done when a customer reaches a defined number of points.   Select from:

 

Convert points into a redemption offerUpon reaching the required number of points, a customer will be entitled to a particular redemption item to use on a future purchase.
Convert points into Bonus DollarsUpon reaching the required number of points, a customer will be entitiled to use bonus money towards a purchase.
Accumulate points for tiered A running total of points will be kept for use with an outside, tiered reward program (for example, 500 points gets item #1, 1500 gets item #2, etc.)

Reward Calculation

When customer reward point will be based on Sales Subtotal, two tiers will be available to show ManageMore how to convert the subtotal to points.  Each tier will allow the user to set a minimum purchase value, such that if the subtotal exceeds that value then that tier will be used for calculating the points for the entire purchase.  Each tier can then be set to convert a particular number of dollars to a particular number of rewards points.

 

Reward to Issue

Select the number of points required and the redemption item number (if using the "Convert points into a redemption offer" option above) or the number of bonus dollars (if using the "Convert points into Bonus Dollars" option) to award to the customer.  This field will not be visible if you have set the action to take to "Accumulate points for tiered incentives."

 

Do not allow excess reweard points to be accumulated

Check this box to disallow any accumulation of reward points while a reward is ready to issue.  Points will only start accumulating again once the reward has been awarded.  This field will not be visible if you have set the action to take to "Accumulate points for tiered incentives."

 

Print reward related messages on sales receipt

Check this box to print the message(s) on the Receipt Message tab at the bottom of each reward customer's sales receipt.

 

Receipt Message

 

Enter up to 10 lines of information to print at the end of each Loyalty Program customer's receipt.  Their current reward points total will print after whatever messages you set up here.
